Women empowerment is an integral part of IDYWC’S work. Empowerment of women in all spheres and in particular the political sphere is crucial for their advancement and for the foundation of gender equal society. It is dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. Recognize the need to concentrate on empowerment of women given her vital role in the family and community, sensitize the community on the issues confronting women and the need to address these issues.

IDYWC works for capacity development support to rural women on socio-economic and gender aspects of sustainable rural development. A conscious strategy is adopted to ensure that women empowerment as a simultaneous process takes place. Adequate and equal representation of women in all forms will be ensured. Efforts are regularly being made to make them trained and enable to play a positive role in the process of development through training and exposures. Legal aid and education are seen as significant inputs, especially in the area of laws related to women and atrocity, forest, police, SC/ST and revenue to combat issues of Violence against women.
