How We Do
IDYWC touches almost all aspects of life of the community it works with.
One of the fundamental reasons behind the current state of the community, particularly tribal community, is that the governance has failed them. In view of this, IDYWC is intervening in improving grassroots governance and providing legal aid to the tribals. Education and health of tribals need to be taken care of and hence these interventions. Since most of the tribals are quite poor, their immediate poverty needs are being addressed and their sources of livelihood being developed. Tribals' lives are intricately linked with natural resources, considerable attention is being paid to natural resource management. Lastly, to bring forth leadership, the groups of tribals have been formed and federated and women leadership among them is being promoted.
